You were born in a country where you have adequate natural resources is nothing to do with your effort and intelligence. It is purely your luck. 

The basic but the most important resource is water. Can you create any water source? Can you live without water? It is either free or less expensive for most of you. But, how many people suffer without water on a daily basis.They have to sometimes walk for miles to fetch water. Some people are even forced to drink dirty/ muddy water as they have no choice.

So, it is your luck and the luck only that you were born in a country where you have adquate water.
